In the hospital they were genius equals who could not stand each other: the brilliant astrophysicist and the quiet storyteller, locked in constant bickering. They would insist they were not friends only to reconcile minutes later at their mutual friend Ui’s behest. With memories of her wiped away, they rose as Magius co-leaders, becoming flint and steel to one another’s fire. Their plan to rewrite the fate of Magical Girls pushed them to extremes without the moral compass of their trio there to keep them in check. As it was, Touka and Nemu drew out the best and the worst in the other in equal measure. When the dust settled and their plan successfully came together, they remained irritating, indispensable, and inseparably bound.
